IEC General Meeting 2016
The IEC General Meeting in Frankfurt am Main in October 2016. A ten-day congress with around 3800 participants from over 80 countries. Numerous different locations, more than 450 individual events in total. Hosted by the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technology of DIN and VDE). Overall concept and implementation by 3c.

The various locations together formed the IEC campus. The Opening Ceremony took place in the Festhalle and the Farewell Party was held in the historic Palmengarten. Klassikstadt, a venue housed in a former factory, was the location for the traditional President's Dinner. Attractive spaces, productive interactions: Every pathway and lounge area offered an opportunity to get to know other participants and exchange views.
The innovative “floating stage” put the audience on the terraced seating literally at eye-level with the main speakers.

The traditional NC President's Dinner had also been carefully planned to maximise the opportunities for networking and communication. The result was a supremely casual and convivial evening which met with a positive response from the guests. VDE Chairman Ansgar Hinz, DKE President Roland Bent and DKE Managing Director Michael Teigeler served their international guests the local “home-made“ Hessian cider known as “Ebbelwoi”.
